We are proud to announce that Coram has achieved ISO 45001 certification, the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. For over sixty years, we have been designing and manufacturing steering columns and components for industrial vehicles, focusing not only on technological excellence but above all on the well-being of our people.
This important recognition, issued by DNV, confirms our concrete commitment to risk prevention and represents a further step forward in our corporate strategy, where the protection of workers is the true driver of responsible, sustainable, and long-term growth.
Much more than a certification: a continuing commitment
Achieving ISO 45001 certification confirms that Coram Group’s operational and production processes comply with the strictest international requirements for occupational health and safety management systems. For us, however, a certification is not a destination, but a collective commitment.
As our President Angelo Piantoni highlighted: “A certification is not a destination. It is a commitment we make to ourselves, to our colleagues, to our customers and to our families. Safety does not come from a document or an audit. Safety comes from our daily behaviours, from the choices each of us makes every day, from respecting procedures, and from the willingness to never look the other way when something is not right.”
Recognition from DNV and risk prevention
The certification process conducted by DNV practically verified the effectiveness of our procedures. As highlighted by our CEO, the auditors particularly appreciated the Management’s strong focus on the health and safety of workers, emphasizing how this commitment translates into concrete actions:
“It was particularly meaningful to receive positive feedback from DNV not only on Management’s commitment, but also on the involvement of our people. The employees interviewed, together with their representatives, confirmed that they feel listened to and genuinely considered when it comes to health and safety matters.” During the audit, our proactiveness in risk prevention clearly emerged. This approach materializes in the prompt management of potential hazards and unexpected events, supported by targeted investments. This feedback is a source of particular pride for us, as it demonstrates that safety is not only a responsibility of the Management, but has become a shared culture throughout the company.
Towards an increasingly sustainable and safe corporate future
Achieving ISO 45001 therefore represents a new starting point. We will continue to invest in prevention, training, awareness, and continuous improvement, with the goal of making safety an increasingly integral part of the way we work.
Because for Coram, safety is not simply a standard to comply with, but a value to live by every day.
