Our commitment to quality, safety and environment
In CORAM we design and develop products for vehicle safety, therefore every single phase of the realization of the product, is performed with great care and is carried out according strictly quality procedures. We believe in the respect of the environment, as well as work ethic, which directly affect our decisions and investments.
Certifications and operating methods
Design activities, defect prevention and validation tests allow us to realize extraordinarily safe products, as well as technological and in accordance with the standards ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and also ISO 3834-2:2005, that certifies the welding process.
The operating methods include:
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
- PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility).
Interconnected production processes industry 4.0
Each phase of the production is monitored in terms of quality, quantity and traceability in real time.
This is possible thanks to the use of barcode, SPC controls, optical scanning controls, laboratory test, tridimensional controls, checks of the tightening copies and many more.
In our laboratories we test and validate the reliability of our products over time, through specific procedures:
- Analysis of materials, heat treatments and welds
- Verification of the correspondence between the processes and the technical-qualitative requirements
- Measurement of coating, chrome plating and phosphating
- Time resistance control via salt mist test chambers
- Simulations of the operating conditions from the steering shafts both for the rotational effort and for the radial and axial loads to which they are stressed
A strategy that takes care of the environment
Nowadays it is a necessary commitment to implement every organizational and productive effort in order to preserve the environment. In CORAM we have the ISO 14001:2015 certification, because we strongly believe that green actions can make the difference for our success, as well as our customers one.
The activities are carried out in according with the current legal provisions and also with any codes of practice. A strategy that takes care of the environment, preventing pollution and minimizing energy, water and waste consumption.
Moreover, we define environmental objectives and targets to be integrated into operational management of plants and environmental develop programmes. It is important for us that the environmental policy and the related management system is understood and practiced by all our collaborators, also through training days.
